This one-day class is designed for individuals, such as architectural/interiors project managers or supervisors, who need to view and manage projects in Revit®.  Attendees will receive an overview of navigating in the Revit environment, as well as basic modeling and drawing techniques. This class will provide the skills necessary to redline/mark up Revit models as well as address common Revit management issues such as staffing, workflow, and model-driven decision making. 

This hands-on, comprehensive class demonstrates and instructs design development and documentation methods using Revit®. This class is designed to teach the architectural professional how to use Revit to create a Building Information Model (BIM) and from that model generate construction documents. Attendees of this class will experience this process of 3D model creation to 2D detailing first hand on a sample project they will build from scratch.

This class is intended for intermediate to advanced users who have an interest in learning the Dynamo visual programming language. This course is not Autodesk product specific, but rather focuses on the Dynamo Core that has been integrated into several Autodesk Products.

In this class, students will learn the basics of visual programming, how to create and modify Dynamo scripts, and understand the dynamo data structures.

Revit is a powerful tool for documentation, but did you realize that it can also be used for visualization? With a few simple settings, you can create easy-to-read and understand schematic views in both 2D and 3D that can aid in conveying design intent and overall spatial character. From simple “white box” renderings, to simple colors, materials and lighting, Revit can be used to take your design and construction model to another level.

At the end of this course you will have learned the following:

• The back-end settings to make your light and shadows as accurate as possible, including location and true north settings.
• Graphic display, materials, lighting, and general visibility graphic settings that affect presentation views.
• Additional information that can be added with decals and depth cueing
• How to enhance 3D views with annotation
• Settings to create “exploded” views with the Displace Elements tool

With this knowledge in hand, you will be able to move from documentation to presentation again and again in the same model. As the design is updated in the model, so are the presentation views, allowing you to quickly share changes as needed to allow for quicker approval. This will give you more time for the design process as you will need less time to create graphics.
