CADD Microsystems Launches Two New Revit Apps at Autodesk University

FilterPLUS and CADD Dashboard increase efficiency and productivity for any Revit user

ALEXANDRIA, VA  CADD Microsystems, a nationally recognized authority on technology solutions in the design, build and operate community, today announced the launch of its two new Revit applications – FilterPLUS and CADD Dashboard. The FilterPLUS app replaces the standard filter with a more powerful one, while CADD Dashboard adds a custom, docked window to Revit models, allowing users to add any resources or documents relevant to that project.

The apps are available on the CADD Community, and are free for members to download. The CADD Community, an exclusive customer portal powered by Global eTraining, gives customers access to CADD apps, on-demand Autodesk training, custom training courses, and practical resources that they can use in their job every day.

CADD Microsystems will be showcasing its products at Autodesk University, November 15-17, 2016, in Las Vegas, NV. Attendees can see the apps in action - and learn how to get special access to them - by visiting CADD Microsystems at booth 2711.

“We have a long history of developing custom software solutions for our customers, so a natural next step was to develop universal apps that many of our clients could benefit from,” said Matt Davoren, President and COO of CADD Microsystems. “We are always looking for new ways to deliver technology solutions that help our customers work more efficiently. The tools we are developing now are vital to improving the design process and fostering a more collaborative workflow. This is just the beginning of a series of applications we will be releasing over the next year.”

FilterPLUS is designed to make the Revit experience easier by replacing the native Filter tool with a more powerful filter, allowing users to not only filter by Category, but also by Family and Type. FilterPLUS works in an expandable window that is resizable, allowing users to see more information at one time, as opposed to the “one size only” native Filter window.

The CADD Dashboard provides the ability to put relevant web pages, documents or resources in a dockable window right inside of the Revit model. More than that, the Dashboard also sends data from the active Revit model to that window, putting fully customizable project or team-specific information right in front of the Revit project team members. The settings for CADD Dashboard can easily be pushed and “locked down” from BIM or IT management to maintain consistency.
